Description

Imagine tender shrimp, infused with the savory depth of oyster sauce, a hint of sea salt, and the subtle warmth of white pepper. This simple marinade transforms the shrimp into something truly special, setting the stage for a quick and flavorful stir-fry. Fresh carrots, vibrant broccoli florets, and crisp onions form the colorful base of this dish.

Each vegetable is carefully stir-fried to achieve that perfect balance of tenderness and satisfying crunch, bringing a delightful textural contrast to every bite. A splash of soy sauce adds umami richness, while a touch of Shaoxing wine lends an authentic depth of flavor, reminiscent of classic Asian cuisine. A drizzle of sesame seed oil finishes the dish, adding a fragrant aroma and nutty complexity that elevates the entire experience.

The beauty of this recipe lies in its simplicity and speed. Whether you use an air fryer to create a quick, healthy meal, or opt for the traditional stir-fry method in a wok or pan, the result is a delicious and satisfying dish ready in minutes. For those using the stir-fry method, a touch of avocado oil ensures the shrimp are cooked to perfection, retaining their succulence and natural sweetness.

The vegetables are then sautéed separately, preserving their individual flavors and textures before being combined with the shrimp and final seasonings. Feel free to adjust the amount of carrots to suit your taste and dietary needs. While carrots are naturally sweet, they also add a welcome burst of color and crispness to the stir-fry.

Chicken breast also works wonderfully in this recipe, offering a leaner alternative to shrimp while still delivering a protein-packed and flavorful meal. Consider serving this delightful stir-fry over a bed of cauliflower rice for a light and wholesome meal. The cauliflower rice perfectly complements the savory flavors of the stir-fry, creating a balanced and satisfying dish that's perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a light and flavorful lunch.
