Instructions

    Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a 6-quart Dutch oven with the lid on inside the oven to preheat. In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients until well combined.

    In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients (except the water). Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Gradually add the water, about 1/4 cup at a time, mixing until each addition is fully incorporated before adding the next. The dough should be slightly sticky.

    Shape the dough into a round ball. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven and remove the lid. Spray the inside of the Dutch oven with nonstick cooking spray. Place the rounded dough into the Dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the lid, reduce the oven temperature to 300°F (149°C), and bake for an additional 2 hours, or until the bread is fully baked through and the crust is golden brown. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
