Description

Indulge in the rich, decadent experience of homemade mocha fudge, a delightful treat perfect for any time of day. Imagine sinking your teeth into a square of intense chocolate flavor, subtly enhanced by the robust aroma of coffee. This fudge boasts a satisfyingly firm texture, achieved through the use of coconut oil, which lends a clean, melt-in-your-mouth quality.

Alternatively, for a creamier, more traditional fudge, substitute butter in equal measure. The choice is yours, allowing you to tailor the recipe to your preferred consistency. The sweetness of this fudge comes from a carefully selected sugar alternative, providing all the pleasure without the unwanted sugars.

Feel free to experiment with different sugar substitutes to find your perfect level of sweetness. For those seeking the ultimate smooth texture, consider using a powdered sweetener. This eliminates any potential graininess, resulting in a velvety, luxurious fudge that simply melts on your tongue.

However, rest assured that even with a granulated sweetener, the taste remains utterly divine. Each bite offers a symphony of flavors, where the bitterness of dark chocolate dances harmoniously with the invigorating notes of coffee. The resulting fudge is not overly sweet, allowing the quality of the ingredients to truly shine.

It's a sophisticated treat that will satisfy your sweet cravings without leaving you feeling heavy or guilty. Enjoy this mocha fudge as an afternoon pick-me-up alongside a cup of your favorite coffee, or as an elegant after-dinner indulgence. It's also a wonderful homemade gift for the chocolate and coffee lovers in your life.

Wrap individual squares in decorative paper for an extra special touch. This recipe is incredibly versatile and easily adaptable to your personal preferences. Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the sweetness, or incorporate chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.

With its rich flavor, satisfying texture, and customizable nature, this mocha fudge is sure to become a new favorite in your home.

Instructions

    1.
If you wish to powder your xylitol for a smoother fudge, add to a small food processor and blend for about 5 minutes to form a fine powder.
    2.
Line a small dish or mold – roughly 6 x 4 inches with baking paper and set aside.
    3.
Add the xylitol, coconut oil, almond butter, cocoa powder and salt to a food processor. Blend well until completely smooth – about 5 minutes.
    4.
While the mixture blends, warm the almond milk and stir in the coffee. Reserve to one side until completely cool.
    5.
With the blender running at a slow speed, add the milky coffee very slowly just a few drops at a time to mixture. You need to follow this process slowly to ensure the mixture does not split.
    6.
Once the milk is completely blended into the mixture, spoon into the lined mold, smoothing over the surface as much as possible.
    7.
Transfer the fudge to the freezer to set for a minimum of 1 hour.
    8.
Once firm, slice into 8 pieces for serving. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
