Description

These turkey burgers present a lighter take on a beloved comfort food, making them an ideal choice for a satisfying weeknight dinner. Crafted with lean ground turkey, these burgers offer a hearty and flavorful experience that doesn't compromise on health. The addition of creamy avocado slices introduces a luscious, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a subtle, buttery flavor that perfectly complements the savory turkey.

Melted provolone cheese drapes over the patty, adding a rich, slightly tangy counterpoint to the other flavors. The cheese creates a delightful gooeyness that enhances each bite, ensuring a truly satisfying experience. What truly elevates these burgers is the vibrant sweet and spicy salsa.

Its combination of sweet fruit notes and a gentle warmth adds a layer of complexity that awakens the palate. The salsa's fresh, zesty character cuts through the richness of the cheese and avocado, creating a balanced and harmonious flavor profile. Imagine sinking your teeth into the tender, juicy turkey, the cool creaminess of the avocado, the slight tang of the melted cheese, and the lively kick of the salsa.

It's a symphony of textures and tastes that will leave you craving more. Feel free to personalize these burgers to your liking with your favorite toppings. A drizzle of your preferred spicy mayonnaise can add an extra layer of heat and creaminess.

Fresh basil leaves can introduce a fragrant, herbaceous note that brightens the overall flavor. Crisp lettuce leaves provide a refreshing crunch that contrasts beautifully with the softer elements of the burger. These turkey burgers are a versatile and delicious option for any occasion.

They are easy to prepare and offer a healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers without sacrificing flavor or satisfaction. Whether you're looking for a quick weeknight meal or a crowd-pleasing option for a weekend barbecue, these burgers are sure to be a hit. Their combination of lean protein, healthy fats, and vibrant flavors makes them a guilt-free indulgence that you can enjoy any time.

Instructions

    1.
Quarter the grape tomatoes and dice the cucumber (peel on). Toss them together in a small mixing bowl.
    2.
Stir the Sriracha, stevia, salt (first amount), and apple cider vinegar into the bowl with the tomatoes and cucumber. Ensure everything is well-coated. Wrap the bowl in plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving time.
    3.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey with the remaining seasonings. Form the mixture into three 1-inch thick patties.
    4.
Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Place the burgers in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side with the lid on.
    5.
Flip the burgers and lay the provolone slices over them. Leave the lid off and reduce the heat slightly. Cook until the burgers are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    6.
Slice and arrange ¾ oz of avocado on each burger. Create a bed of sweet & spicy salsa for the burgers to lay on, or spoon the salsa over the burgers. Garnish with fresh basil, lettuce, more Sriracha, or your favorite condiments as desired.
