Description

Imagine a delightful twist on a classic BLT, transformed into an elegant, bite-sized treat. This reimagined favorite features crisp, smoky bacon taking center stage, acting as the wrapper for a medley of fresh, vibrant flavors. Picture juicy slices of ripe tomato and crisp lettuce nestled within a creamy, tangy spread.

This isn't just a sandwich alternative; it's an experience. The cream cheese spread, infused with Dijon mustard and fresh herbs, provides a smooth, rich base that perfectly complements the salty bacon and bright vegetables. Each bite delivers a burst of contrasting textures and harmonious flavors.

The bacon offers a satisfying crunch, while the tomato and lettuce provide a refreshing crispness. The creamy spread ties everything together, adding a touch of indulgence. A sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning elevates the taste, adding hints of onion, garlic, sesame, and poppy seed, reminiscent of a freshly baked bagel.

This unique combination creates a surprisingly satisfying snack or light lunch that's both flavorful and visually appealing. These bacon-wrapped delights can be prepared ahead of time, making them perfect for meal prepping or serving as an appetizer for gatherings. Their small size makes them easy to handle and enjoy, appealing to both adventurous and picky eaters alike.

To maintain freshness, store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Consider complementing these savory bites with a creamy dipping sauce to enhance the overall experience. The added richness will create a delectable contrast that will leave you wanting more.

If you don't have everything bagel seasoning on hand, you can easily create your own blend using dried onion, garlic, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds. Simply combine the ingredients to your liking and sprinkle generously over the bacon-wrapped treats. This adaptable recipe is sure to become a new favorite, offering a fun and flavorful way to enjoy the classic combination of bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

Instructions

    1.
Make the bacon so it has time to cool before you assemble the sushi. Cook the bacon at medium to high heat over your stove, but do not cook the bacon to crispy. The bacon needs to be flexible so it can wrap around the other ingredients, and crispy bacon will only break. When the bacon is cooked through and still chewy, remove the strips to cool on a clean working surface.
    2.
Make the cream cheese spread by blending the cream cheese in a stand mixer on high speed until it is lump-free and at room temperature. You may pull the cream cheese out to soften prior to making the recipe to help you out. Blend dijon mustard and minced chives into the cream cheese until you have a smooth, creamy spread. You may continue on to the next step or you can put the spread in your refrigerator to chill and firm up a little.
    3.
Use some paper towels to absorb any excess grease from the bacon, otherwise, the cream cheese spread won stick to the bacon. Use the back of a spoon or a butter knife to spread about tablespoon of cream cheese across each strip of bacon. Sprinkle teaspoon of your favorite brand of Everything But The Bagel seasoning along each strip of bacon as well. Over each portion of cream cheese, add ounce of shredded lettuce. Include ounce of thin-sliced grape tomatoes (approximately a tomato) on the wider end of each strip of bacon.
    4.
Starting at the wider end with the sliced tomatoes, roll each strip of bacon up into a piece of sushi. You can simply tuck the other end of bacon under each piece of sushi, but you can also secure each piece with a toothpick if they 're giving you trouble. Enjoy immediately or chill in your refrigerator for a cold snack. Carb Manager has many Keto condiment recipes for dipping sauces you may use.
