    Preheat a grill to 450-500°F. Place shrimp in a medium-sized bowl, add BBQ sauce and 1/4 tsp black pepper.

    Place asparagus on a plate, drizzle with avocado oil, kosher salt, and remaining black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

    Divide shrimp evenly among four metal skewers.

    Place asparagus on the preheated grill first, cooking for a couple of minutes before flipping.

    Add shrimp skewers to the grill, cooking on the first side for a couple of minutes before flipping. Flip the asparagus again.

    Flip shrimp skewers after a couple of minutes. Continue flipping shrimp and asparagus until shrimp are pink, cooked through, and charred. Asparagus should be nicely charred but slightly crunchy. Baste shrimp often with remaining BBQ sauce using a silicone brush.
    8.
    Serve grilled asparagus and shrimp with a squeeze of fresh lemon.
