Description

Imagine sinking your teeth into a warm, satisfying pizza where the crust itself is a savory delight. This isn't your typical doughy base; instead, picture a foundation crafted from seasoned ground chicken, baked to a golden-brown perfection. The chicken crust offers a surprisingly sturdy and flavorful alternative, providing a hearty base that’s both delicious and satisfying.

Its subtly savory notes complement the toppings beautifully, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds. Upon this delightful chicken crust, a generous layer of creamy alfredo sauce is spread, blanketing the base in rich, velvety goodness. The alfredo sauce, with its delicate balance of butter, cream, and parmesan, introduces a luxurious element to the pizza.

Its smooth texture and decadent flavor create a comforting and indulgent experience with every bite. The sauce's richness is perfectly balanced by the other elements, ensuring that it doesn't overwhelm but rather enhances the overall flavor profile. Topping this masterpiece is a vibrant scattering of fresh arugula, adding a peppery and slightly bitter counterpoint to the richness of the crust and sauce.

The arugula's delicate leaves bring a refreshing crispness and visual appeal, elevating the pizza to a gourmet experience. Its subtle bite awakens the palate, creating a delightful contrast that keeps you coming back for more. The peppery notes of the arugula meld seamlessly with the other flavors, contributing to a complex and satisfying taste sensation.

Finally, the pizza is crowned with a generous layer of gooey mozzarella cheese, melted to bubbly, golden perfection. The mozzarella provides a classic pizza element, offering a mild, milky flavor and a delightful stretch with each slice. Its creamy texture and comforting warmth complete the pizza experience, creating a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that is both satisfying and memorable.

This pizza is a celebration of flavors and textures, offering a guilt-free way to indulge in a classic comfort food. It's a delightful alternative to traditional pizza, perfect for those seeking a lighter, protein-packed option without sacrificing taste or satisfaction. Each bite is a journey of culinary discovery, where savory, creamy, peppery, and cheesy notes dance together in perfect harmony.

Instructions

    1.
Melt the butter in a medium-sized skillet over low heat. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream in 3-4 additions, ensuring the fats emulsify completely.
    2.
In about 3 additions, slowly whisk in the parmesan cheese, making sure each addition is completely melted before adding more. Whisk until you achieve a thick and creamy alfredo sauce.
    3.
Remove the alfredo sauce from the stove top. Transfer the sauce to a bowl or plate, and place it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, or until the sauce is cooled and coagulated.
    4.
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Place your already prepared and frozen chicken crust on a flat surface. Spread the cooled alfredo sauce over the chicken crust, leaving the edges bare like a regular pizza. Sprinkle pepper, oregano, and basil over the sauce.
    5.
Arrange the arugula and mozzarella cheese over the pizza as pictured.
    6.
For baking, you will need to place the prepared pizza on the pan that has been turned over. Choose a pan that is slightly bigger than your pizza or the same pan you formed your chicken crust in. Line the exposed side of the pan with parchment paper before placing the pizza on top.
    7.
If your chicken crust has become soft during the assembly process, return the prepared pizza to the freezer for 5-10 minutes, just so the chicken can become solid and sturdy for the baking process. Then, bake the pizza on your overturned pan in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese and edges of the pizza are browned.
    8.
Once baked, let the pizza cool for approximately 10 minutes before slicing it into 8 slices. Enjoy!
